Rooted in classical residential architecture, Glencairn is a 7,000-square-foot home where proportion, symmetry, and decorative detailing establish a distinctly traditional character. The exterior sets the tone with its steep rooflines, dormer windows, masonry, and formal architectural elements, while the interior continues the language through layered mouldings, dark hardwood, polished stone, and finely detailed cabinetry. The kitchen offers a brighter interpretation of the home's classical style, pairing tailored millwork with marble surfaces and warm metallic accents. Elsewhere, a custom wine cellar introduces a more intimate atmosphere through walnut-toned cabinetry, illuminated stone, and contrasting dark finishes. Conceived as a home with presence rather than passing trends, Glencairn was realized over 16 months through the combined expertise of BHI and Elviano, with careful attention given to proportion, material transitions, and the traditional detailing that gives the residence its enduring identity.
